We visited the French sculptor, France Alvin. www.france-alvin.com
She works in wood, using driftwood she has collected from all over the world, especially in Tahiti where the artist spends half the year. France Alvin spends the other half here in Southwest France, where she has restored her 500 year old home, to perfection. Her walls are made of bricks and local river rocks. She showed us her studio where she works and in true French style, she served us a delicious lunch with wine (bien sur!) and finishing off with this very elegant pomme tarte.
