Tea at Ladurée, Paris

Tea time at the famous salon, Ladurée is something of an event. My daughter, Callan and I went to the one on rue Royale thinking it would be less crowded than the salon on the Champs Elysées. Even so, the place was jam-packed with ladies wearing their Chanel, men in business suits and not a few tourists. My daughter and I shared four delicious (and famous) Macaroons and a pot of black tea. We tried Chocolate (subtle and lovely), Pistachio (surprisingly delicious), Raspberry (our favorite) and Orange Blossom (wow!) The little cakes are crisp on the outside, and smooth on the inside. We would have taken a box home with us, but the line at the bakery was completely daunting.
So I guess that means we'll just have to return to Paris for more!
