French Women Travel in Style

French Secret #47
French Women believe in traveling in style.  They'll never wear work-out clothes or sweats to the airport.  A French Woman will chose to always look lovely because as Coco Chanel famously said, anytime you leave the house you may have a "date with destiny."
So why not look your best?

Still, a French woman will travel in something comfortable, such as a fetching dress or a pretty tunic or leggings and cute ballet flats.

And did you know that when airlines have extra space in First Class, the attendant is on the look out for a particularly elegant man or woman they can place in these much-coveted seats?
Bonjour, extra perks!  Bonjour, champagne!

How do you dress comfortably, yet elegantly for travel?  What are your travel secrets?
I'd love to hear about it!

  1. I like to wear jeans and blazer with ballet flats. After take off I sometimes change into "hip" looking comfy pants that are a bit like sweats, but more fashionable( from Zara). Or I will wear J Brand denim leggings with boots, a tunic or button-down shirt and scarf. I always take a little touch-up makeup, essential oil water in a spray, makeup wipes and creams to keep my face fresh, especially on long-haul flights. I also take mini-toothbrushes with built in toothpaste.

I imagine you look very chic going through the airport and fresh and lovely at the end of your voyage too! Thanks for writing it and reading the blog!

  3. I immensely enjoyed your book Bonjour Happiness! And I just found your blog. Just the other day I wrote about how I do not like people not dressing up for travel. I find it very important and usually wear jeans, a pretty top and a scarf/cardigan for the plane. I also do my makeup very well and keep checking throughout the flight if I look alright.

Love to you. Can't wait to read the rest of your books.
